چکیده

It is well-known that the Plücker relations generate the ideal of relations of the maximal minors of a generic m× n matrix. In this paper we discuss the relations of t-minors for t < min(m,n). We will exhibit minimal relations in degrees 2 (non-Plücker in general) and 3, and give some evidence for our conjecture that we have found the generating system of the ideal of relations. The approach is through the representation theory of GL.

Commutation relations among quantum minors in Oq(Mn(k))

In this paper we compute explicit formulas for the commutation relations between any two quantum minors in the quantum matrix bialgebraOq (Mn(k)). The product of any two minors is expressed as linear combination of products of minors strictly less in certain orderings.  2004 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

Development of a Generic Risk Matrix to Manage Project Risks

A generic risk matrix is presented for use identifying and assessing project risks quickly and cost effectively. It assists project managers with few resources to perform project risk analysis. The generic risk matrix (GRM) contains a broad set of risks that are categorized and ranked according to their potential impact and probability of occurrence. The matrix assists PMs in quickly identifyin...

Partitions of Single Exterior Type

We characterize the irreducible representations of the general linear group GL(V ) that have multiplicity 1 in the direct sum of all Schur modules of a given exterior power of V . These have come up in connection with the relations of the lower order minors of a generic matrix. We show that the minimal relations conjectured by Bruns, Conca and Varbaro are exactly those coming from partitions of...

On the Ideal of Minors of Matrices of Linear Forms

The ideals generated by the minors of matrices whose entries are linear forms are not yet well-understood, unless the forms themselves satisfy some strong condition. One has a wealth of information if the matrix is generic, symmetric generic or Hankel; here we tackle 1-generic matrices. We recall the definition of 1-genericity introduced in [E2] by Eisenbud: Let F be a field and X1, . . . , Xs ...
